In this chapter, there was a lot mentioned once again about finding bodies preserved by the salt. I find it so cool that it was naturally preserved. I knew that the bodies would of been kept good, but I never thought about the clothes either. It would have been so weird to find vibrant colors on a dead body that was really old. I want to come upon a dead body like that. It would be so freaky, but I would find it very interesting. I wonder if they look like raisons like the mummies did.
Once again, I find it crazy how smart people were back a long time ago. They had great ideas on how to mine and where to mine. I personally think we're probably a lot stupider than people were back long ago. We have had so much knowledge passed down, but they had to figure out all this stuff first.
I didn't know that the Celts moved into the Britians! I wonder if I'm part Celtic. I know that I'm Irish and such, so maybe I would date back to the Celts. I have the blonde hair that they did! Mine is not bleached, but maybe their hair overtime just changed color. It is interesting to think about.

Well I bet if they look like raisons they taste like chicken. It is cool that salt preserves colors I never knew that and how they bodies never decomposed. I bet it would smell soooo bad to come upon 200 corpses.
I do feel stupid when I read about the ancient civilizations because they didnt have computers or teachers or anything, they just did what they had to, to survive.
You make very valid points about you being a Celtic...Do you like ham alot, because if you do I'm pretty sure you are Celtic
Yeah I'd definitely be a bit freaked out if a came across a random salt-preserved body.
Yeah, frozen in salt is kind of a strange way to store a body, but it seems strange to us today. I guess the salt absorbs the water, so as the clothing would also be preserved and not rot?
Salt mines seemed like a lot of work, but as you point out they seemed to come up with some neat ways in which to extract it.
The British Isles were indeed Celtic, which means if you are English, Welsh, Scotch, or Irish then you are indeed decended from Celtic ancestors. These were your people.
This post was a bit shorter than the other two? Keep up the detail and the length of your prior two, as they had more info to work with.
